Job Description
The Line Shop Financial Analyst partners with Finance and Operations to monitor financial performance, investigate variances, and support accurate month-end results. This role works closely with line shop teams to identify issues, improve processes, and help teams achieve their financial goals.
- Locations:
- Central Jersey: Berkeley, Cookstown, Freehold, Lakewood, Long Branch, Old Bridge, Point Pleasant, or Union Beach
- North Jersey: Summit, Boonton, Dover, Newton, Flemington, or Washington
- + Partner with line shop operating teams on financial and operational matters.
+ Review financial reports and queries to identify outliers, errors, and unusual activity.
+ Investigate variances and challenge information to ensure accuracy.
+ Support month-end close by identifying and resolving issues before results are finalized.
+ Assist with timesheet reporting and proper classification of labor between capital and expense.
+ Support work order settling and financial settlements.
+ Help establish financial goals and work with operating teams to achieve them.
+ Communicate directly with operating personnel to resolve issues and gather information.
+ Prepare and present financial information to management.
+ Collaborate with centralized Finance teams supporting AR, AP, and other functions.
+ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Comfortable asking questions, challenging information, and working with Operations.
+ Ability to build relationships and influence others.
+ Strong Excel skills.
+ Experience with SAP and WMS preferred.
+ Experience with PowerPlan, QlikView, or Power BI is a plus.
+ Audit or accounting experience is a plus.
+ Utility, construction, or field operations experience is helpful.
