Job Description
Strategic Finance Analyst - Service Lines The Strategic Finance Analyst serves as a strategic financial partner to Service Line and Institute leadership, providing comprehensive analytical support that informs program development, operational decision-making, and long-term planning. This role plays a critical part in evaluating and advancing clinical, operational, and strategic initiatives by developing detailed business cases, performing financial assessments, and creating proformas that clearly outline expected volumes, costs, reimbursements, staffing impacts, and overall financial performance. The analyst discovers trends and provides actionable insights driving business strategies and operations across the service lines. Responsibilities Analyze financial performance, identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to evaluate service line performance and physician hospital contribution margin. Collaborate with service line partners to understand operational drivers and translate complex financial information into meaningful insights. Evaluates operational efficiency, identifies cost-saving opportunities, and supports business cases for new initiatives. Support development and execution of annual service line budgeting including gathering inputs and aligning budget targets. Increase the relevance and impact of service line marketing touchpoints by maintaining incremental service line specific volume ROI models. Maintain a thorough understanding of business processes, data sets, and clinical knowledge of operations to extract transform and analyze financial data. Communicate complex financial and operational information clearly, concisely, and accurately through written reports, presentations, and verbal discussions. Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of essential job functions. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. At least five years of experience in administrative, financial, accounting, or decision support roles within a healthcare environment Solid foundation in data analysis and modeling. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, as well as experience interpreting data analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI. Provide excellent customer service for stakeholders with a strong attention to detail, effective organizational and interpersonal skills, and by demonstrating good judgement. Self-motivated with initiative to act independently while maintaining open communication across project teams as necessary.
