Description Position Summary The Financial Analyst I (FP&A) is an entry-level position within the Treasury & Finance department. This role is primarily focused on supporting financial forecasting, analyzing portfolio performance metrics, maintaining financial models, and delivering actionable data insights. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter with strong quantitative skills, a passion for data analysis, and a desire to learn financial modeling and forecasting in a fast-paced corporate environment. Summary of Essential Job Functions Financial Modeling & Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation, maintenance, and validation of corporate financial and forecasting models in Excel. Support variance analyses to understand how operational shifts impact financial outlooks.
Portfolio & Payment Performance:
Support the team in tracking and analyzing credit card portfolio trends, including customer boarding mix, managed purchases, and payment behaviors.
Reporting & KPIs:
Play a key role in compiling, auditing, and distributing weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial KPI packages and performance dashboards.
Data Management:
Utilize database tools to extract, clean, and manipulate large financial datasets for analysis.
Ad-Hoc Analysis:
Conduct exploratory data analysis to support ad-hoc requests, focusing on identifying trends, investigating variance anomalies, and explaining drivers.
Presentation Support:
Assist in drafting clear, visually engaging presentation decks and commentary for senior management and executive reviews. Position Requirements Strong foundational Excel skills with an eagerness to learn complex financial modeling. Exposure to or basic academic knowledge of database querying or data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is highly preferred. Familiarity with basic financial, accounting, and statistical concepts. High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy. Strong analytical curiosity-not just running the numbers, but wanting to understand what drives them. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize findings clearly. Collaborative mindset with a comfortable attitude toward working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
