Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Clark County Water Reclamation District is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Utility Operations & Cost-Rate Analyst I/II (Accounting) position. This position will be primarily responsible for: Working with accounting application software such as Oracle EBS, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Receivables. Interpreting and maintaining accurate financial records. Preparing accurate financial, statistical and narrative reports. Preparing deposits and other accounting reconciliations. Preparing and reconciling general ledger and subsidiary ledger accounts. Performing accounting duties in accordance with GASB, GAAP and NRS guidelines. Utility Operations & Cost-Rate Analyst I :

$34.53 - $50.50

Hourly Utility Operations & Cost-Rate Analyst II:

$38.08 - $55.65 Hourly This recruitment will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months or may be extended as needed by Human Resources. Human Resources reserves the right to call only the most qualified applicants to the selection process. Qualifying education and experience must be clearly documented in the "Education" and "Work Experience" sections of the application. Do not substitute a resume for your application or write "see attached resume" on your application. The Utility Operations & Cost-Rate Analyst I is a flex position. Upon successful completion of the training program and meeting the minimum qualifications of the higher-level class, to include obtaining any required certifications and/or licenses, the successful candidate will be non-competitively promoted to Utility Operations & Cost-Rate Analyst II.

Education and Experience:

Utility Operations & Cost-Rate Analyst I :

Bachelor's degree in business, economics, accounting, finance, or related field.

Utility Operations & Cost-Rate Analyst II :

In addition to the above: Two (2) years of professional full-time accounting or finance experience. Full-time professional experience in a related field may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis, up to a maximum of two (2) years.

Licenses/Certifications:

Specified position may require possession of a valid Nevada Class C driver's license at time of appointment.

Background Investigation:

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation. Additional background investigations may be conducted periodically after employment.
