We are seeking a Financial Analyst, R D Finance, serving as a key partner in supporting the Research and Preclinical (R&pD) organization. In this role you will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, variance analysis, financial modeling and other ad hoc financial duties in the (R&pD) organization. Key aspects of the role include cost center reporting, IT specific R&pD forecasting, accrual calculations as well as forecasting capital expenditures and the resulting, depreciation, service contracts and cash outflows. This role requires strong financial acumen, a keen attention to detail and accuracy, an eagerness to learn, as well as an ability to work cross-functionally with teams to gather assumptions. The candidate should be able to both communicate effectively and quickly develop trusted relationships with all levels across R&pD and Financial Services functions.
When & Where:
This position will be onsite in our Sleepy Hollow, NY offices and is expected to be onsite 4 days per week. Discover Your Role Support R&pD business partners to create department level annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. Leveraging Hyperion, upload the budget and forecast data. Manage, track, and project R&pD capital expenditures and all related costs. Analyze operational expense data to formulate variance analysis and monitor spending versus budget and forecast. Work cross functionally with Accounting and the Regeneron Genetics Center (RGC) to prepare accruals. Maintain and / or create financial models as needed. Prepare and present financial analysis in support of ad hoc requests and projects. Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, models, and reporting.
This Role Requires:
Bachelors degree in finance or accounting required; Masters or MBA preferred. Designations like
CPA, CFA, CMA
nice to have. Two to four years in a financial analysis and/or accounting role required. Industry experience (pharmaceutical/biotech) and/or Big 4 experience required. Previous budgeting/forecasting/variance analysis experience. Strong Excel skills preferred (SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, INDEX, MATCH). Ability to effectively build, train and leverage AI models in day-to-day work. Experience using Hyperion or related EPM tools. Does this sound like you?
