Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The Associate Financial Analyst supports the Finance organization by providing financial planning, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for assigned business leaders. Perform financial analysis for business units, strategic segments, pricing and projects. This position will collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure accurate financial analysis to support business insights.
ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES
Supports the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and monthly financial reporting processes for assigned business areas. Prepares, consolidates, and validates financial information used in budgets, forecasts, and management reporting. Performs variance analysis and researches significant variances to support monthly financial reviews. Prepares recurring financial reports, dashboards, scorecards and performance metrics for assigned business partners. Analysis and reporting of information in pricing, strategic segments, corporate projects and additional financial metrics to create insights and drive business decisions Assists with optimization and continuous improvement initiatives by tracking financial results and preparing project reporting. Collaborates with Finance teammates to identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and data quality. Maintains financial models, reporting tools, and ERP system data to ensure information is complete, accurate, and timely. Assists with capital expenditure tracking, financial reconciliations, and ad hoc financial analyses.
SECONDARY DUTIES
Supports special financial projects and analyses as assigned. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field and 0-2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. COMPETENCY and/or
SKILL:
Beginning to working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting Analysis skills Solid working knowledge of excel and other data analysis tools Attention to detail and organization skills Effective written and verbal communication skills with ability to present
