Job Description

Industry leading manufacturing company in the Tulsa, OK area is seeking a Financial Analyst in Procurement that will act as the key strategic finance partner to the Global Procurement and Sourcing organizations. This role is responsible for vendor spend analysis, direct/indirect cost modeling, contract financial evaluation, savings validation, and supplier risk management. The ideal candidate blends strong financial modeling capability with commercial acumen to optimize total cost of ownership (TCO) across key supply chain categories.
Key Responsibilities Procurement Spend & Cost Analysis:
Maintain spend analytics frameworks to classify direct, indirect, and capital expenditures. Perform total cost of ownership (TCO) and make-vs-buy evaluations to support strategic sourcing decisions.
Savings Validation & Tracking:
Partner with category managers to quantify, track, and validate cost savings initiatives (deflation, cost avoidance, value engineering) against baseline spend and budget targets.
Supplier Contract & Negotiation Support:
Build financial models, price-volume sensitivity curves, and index-based commodity costing models to equip procurement teams with data-backed leverage for vendor negotiations.
Budgeting & Commodity Forecasting:
Forecast raw material, freight, and supply chain price fluctuations. Evaluate commodity risk exposure and provide financial inputs for annual operating budgets and quarterly rolling forecasts.
Vendor Risk & Financial Health:
Perform financial solvency, liquidity, and credit assessments on potential and current strategic vendors to mitigate supply chain disruption risk.
Month-End Close & Variance Analysis:
Track purchase price variances (PPV), inflation impact, and rebates. Partner with Corporate Finance to reconcile procurement metrics against general ledger outcomes.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Supply Chain Management.
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, or cost accounting, with direct exposure supporting procurement, sourcing, or supply chain operations.
Technical Skills:
Advanced Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, scenario analysis, Power Query). Proficiency with ERP procurement modules (SAP MM/Ariba, Oracle SCM, or Coupa). Hands-on experience with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau) for spend data visualization.
Core Competencies:
Deep understanding of cost drivers, index-linked pricing contracts, and financial statements.
