Join the MEPPI Team! Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) is seeking an Accounting Analyst to be based in our Warrendale, PA facility.
What You'll Do:
Review and analyze expenditures that are classified as fixed assets. Maintain and oversee accounting-related aspects of Field Service Module of the business system. Review shipment and invoicing of products. Review and analyze booking and payment of commissions made to sales representatives. Prepare and analyze division performance charts monthly. Prepare and analyze transportation out, warranty and other miscellaneous entries during monthly closings. Prepare and analyze monthly warranty report. Perform monthly reconciliations of subledgers to the general ledger. Perform analysis and tracking of monthly department budgets. Review and monitor all projects for assigned departments. Perform review of entries in the distribution journals prior to posting to the general ledger. Assist in preparation of work papers for all audits. Coordinate sales and use tax collection, payment, and reporting. Review and analyze collection of Company receivables, including collection of delinquent receivables and maintenance of the bad debt reserve.
What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, plus a minimum of 3 years work experience in a related field in a manufacturing or related industry, or equivalent education and experience. Developed knowledge of accounting principles and practical applications. Developed knowledge of financial analysis techniques. Developed knowledge of MS Office products with emphasis on spreadsheet capabilities. What's in It for
