Your impact Jacobs is seeking a Commercial & Financial Risk Analyst to support the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects and programs across North America. This role provides commercial, financial, procurement, and risk advisory support to project teams and Project Managers, contributing to informed decision-making and effective project controls. While the role does not involve design or engineering tasks, an understanding of how these disciplines are executed within major infrastructure projects is considered an asset.
Key Responsibilities:
As part of the Major Projects/Programs team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
  • Support project teams and Project Managers in the delivery of commercial, financial, procurement, and risk advisory services for major projects and programs.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, technical memoranda, financial models, and other project deliverables as required.
  • Perform research, data collection, data entry, and quantitative and qualitative analysis in support of project objectives.
  • Organize and participate in internal and client meetings, including preparing agendas, presentation materials, and briefing documents.
  • Document meeting outcomes, action items, and key decisions, and follow up to ensure timely closure.
  • Monitor project changes, scope adjustments, and schedule deviations, supporting tracking of milestones and deadlines.
  • Provide general administrative and project support as required to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Support compliance with Jacobs' internal project processes, governance frameworks, and financial controls. Here's what you'll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience supporting the delivery of advisory services on major infrastructure projects (candidates with significantly more than 5 years of experience may not be considered).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented mindset, combined with a high degree of resourcefulness and self-direction.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and relationship-building skills, including the ability to work effectively with clients and internal stakeholders. Ideally you'll also have:
  • Experience with Monte Carlo simulation software or probabilistic risk analysis tools is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with major infrastructure project delivery environments, including coordination with engineering and construction disciplines.
  • Bilingualism in English and French will be considered an asset for this position.

Posted Salary Range:
Upper 80,000.00 The base salary range for this position is $60,000.00 to $80,000.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across Ontario, Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
