To ensure that there is coordination among the various streams of federal funding coming into the state to address substance use disorder and monitor federal funding streams for compliance.Duties and Responsibilities:
Compile financial information to identify data trends from opioid settlement contracts managed by the division. Monitor funding for compliance with Opioid Settlement Fund and state requirements in partnership with SUGE. Interpret federal and state funding regulations to develop and update fiscal policy, cost reporting guidance, and reimbursement protocols as needed. Ensure risk assessments and compliance monitoring tools are completed annually, in accordance with MDHHS Bureau of Audit requirements. Maintain financial records and prepare regular reports and correspondence summarizing trends, compliance status, and recommendations. Complete required fiscal reviews annually, in accordance with MDHHS Bureau of Audit requirements. Ensure contract monitoring and approvals are completed, in accordance with the timelines established by the Bureau of Grants and Purchasing. Collaborate to review financial and compliance monitoring protocols in partnership with program staff to ensure monitoring changes are reflected. Attend Opioid Settlement meetings as required. Participate in advisory groups, workgroups, and sub-committees, as directed by the Section Manager. Maintain a positive, strong, credible, professional and interpersonal relationship with all parties relevant of MPHI projects and always represent the best interest of MDHHS and MPHI . Perform other duties as assigned by the Section Manager.Qualifications/Requirements:
Education:
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major with at least 12 semester (18 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: accounting, finance, or economics.Experience:
At least 2 years professional experience in a professional office environment.ImportantSkillsand Characteristics:
Advanced knowledgeandskilllevelin theuse of personal computers. Advanced experience with softwareapplications,such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, graphics and tables.Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
