Job Description

Financial Analyst Job Classification:
Exempt Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work closely with leadership team to prepare and analyze weekly & monthly project results.
  • Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts and explain variances.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to prepare and complete post-close project analysis to improve profitability and win % for future projects / bids.
  • Complete all month-end related tasks in a timely manner, including job progress reports, verification of revenue & costs, job maintenance, assist with the WIP process, job costing transfers, bonus accruals, etc.
  • Produce and distribute various reporting metrics to leadership team, including Profit & Loss statement, job listing, etc. during Month-end close.
  • Gather and interpret financial data from multiple sources.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes.
  • Serve as the Contract Administrator for all customer contracts, (COI's, W-9's, etc).
  • Ensure completion of AMPP's Subcontractor Agreements, both customers and vendors.
  • Maintain up-to-date employee rosters in different customers' databases, (weekly and as needed for storm purposes).
  • Complete customer-specific accruals as needed.
  • Assist in Cash Flow Projections to send to parent company each week.
  • Assist with various bids and projects as needed.
  • Complete the billing / invoicing process for multiple customers.
  • Attend and participate in miscellaneous customer meetings as needed. Technical Knowledge
  • Basic understanding of Business Finance and analytics
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Education
  • Minimum 2 years of finance/accounting experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related field or equivalent experience
  • Working Conditions
  • Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 10 lbs.
  • See and hear naturally or with correction.
  • Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with requirements of job duties
  • Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls according to a set procedure.
  • Requires repetitive movement.
