Job Description

Interim Senior Financial Analyst, Commercial FP&A Our client, a high-growth technology company, is seeking an Interim Senior Financial Analyst to support its Commercial FP&A function during a temporary leave period. This role is remote-eligible, though we highly prefer a hybrid arrangement in San Francisco and availability during Pacific Time business hours. This role has an anticipated duration of approximately three months.
Responsibilities:
Partner with Sales and other go-to-market teams to provide budgeting, forecasting, and analytical support Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools to monitor commercial performance Analyze pipeline, bookings, revenue trends, and sales performance to identify risks and opportunities Support annual planning, quarterly business reviews, and monthly financial reporting processes Develop business cases for commercial initiatives, pricing decisions, and product launches Collaborate with FP&A, Sales Finance, Revenue Operations, Accounting, and other cross-functional stakeholders Provide senior leadership with clear insights into key business drivers and performance trends Identify opportunities to automate reporting, improve processes, and increase forecasting efficiency
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field 3+ years of experience in FP&A, sales finance, revenue finance, or a related analytical role Experience partnering with commercial or go-to-market teams within a technology or similarly fast-paced environment Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial modeling, and business performance metrics Advanced Excel and analytical skills, with experience using financial planning, CRM, or data visualization tools
