Summary of the Role We are seeking a Lead Financial Analyst to serve as a senior individual contributor within FP&A, owning complex financial modeling, financial systems maintenance, and data governance across the organization. This role requires a high caliber individual comfortable operating with minimal supervision, mentoring junior analysts, and partnering directly with Finance leadership in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Build and maintain complex financial models supporting budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and ad hoc scenario analysis Own preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and analysis packages, including variance analysis (e.g., Price-Volume-Mix, margin bridges) for leadership Serve as financial planning and reporting system administrator, responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancement requests Establish and enforce data governance standards for financial reporting, including naming conventions, source-of-truth documentation, and master data quality Develop detailed understanding of critical business processes and challenge operations teams to identify areas for financial performance improvement Identify and resolve data integrity issues across financial systems, partnering with IT/Data teams on root-cause fixes Proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency in core Finance processes, analyze the business from new value-added perspectives, and enhance the strategic role of Finance in the organization Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and develop metric measurement processes Provide technical and analytical mentorship to junior analysts, reviewing work product prior to distribution Skills and Abilities Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate financial complexity for non-finance audiences Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and work in a team-oriented environment Thorough understanding of financial statements and relationships between income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statements Organized and flexible, ability to manage multiple complex projects/assignments while meeting deadlines Independent worker who is able to operate with minimal supervision and sound judgment Minimum Qualifications BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; MBA or CFA a plus Minimum of 5 years of relevant FP&A or Accounting experience, including complex financial modeling Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency required; SQL or business intelligence tool proficiency strongly preferred Organized and flexible - ability to manage multiple complex projects/assignments while meeting deadlines Independent worker who is able to operate with minimal supervision and sound judgment Background checks and drug screening may be required (by Company, Customer or DOT requirements in working on-site and operating equipment as required or permitted by law) Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience maintaining or administering financial planning and ERP systems preferred Demonstrated experience with data governance, including defining data standards and resolving data quality issues Physical Requirements and Work Environment This position is based in a standard office environment and requires regular use of typical office equipment, including computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.
