Job Description
Strategic Finance Analyst Our client is seeking a Strategic Finance Analyst to provide financial insight and guidance across strategic capital investments and business initiatives. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical, adaptable finance professional who can manage competing priorities, build strong cross-functional relationships, and confidently translate complex financial information into actionable recommendations for senior leaders. This role is fully remote. Applicants must be located in Oregon, Washington, Utah, Idaho, or North Dakota with flexibility to support partners across Pacific and Central time zones. Strategic Finance Analyst Responsibilities Provide financial guidance throughout the full lifecycle of capital investments, from initial proposals and business cases through project closeout and benefit realization. Develop financial models and analyses for strategic initiatives, including cost-benefit assessments, ROI, NPV, budgeting, new business opportunities, contracts, and other corporate projects. Partner with project managers, business leaders, and other stakeholders to align financial assumptions with project plans, budgets, forecasts, and change controls. Analyze the current and long-term financial impact of proposed investments and initiatives, providing clear recommendations to project sponsors and senior leadership. Prepare and present recurring and ad-hoc financial analyses to senior executives, leadership teams, boards, and other key stakeholders. Strategic Finance Analyst Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Statistics, or a related field, with 6-8 years of progressive finance, accounting, or related analytical experience. Strong understanding of financial concepts and business-case development, including ROI, NPV, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting, margins, and financial forecasting. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with demonstrated experience developing complex financial models, performing detailed analysis, and working with financial systems and data. Excellent analytical, critical-thinking, communication, presentation, and project management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of an organization. Ability to independently manage multiple complex projects and shifting priorities with sound judgment and composure; CPA, CMA, MBA, ASA, or health insurance industry experience is preferred, and flexibility to support partners across Pacific and Central time zones is required.
