Job Description

The Service Operations Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting the day-to-day operations of Butler Machinery's service organization. This role provides exposure to customer service, service administration, process improvement initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration with service and sales teams. The intern will develop valuable business and operational skills while contributing to projects that support efficient, customer-focused operations. This role requires 15-25 hours per week during the school year with full-time availability during breaks.

Work Location :

Candidates must be located at, and work from, our corporate office in Fargo, ND. Position is not eligible to be remote.

Responsibilities:

Assists the service department with scheduling, customer communication, and work order review and closing activities. Support daily service operations by helping maintain accurate records, documentation, and administrative processes. Collaborate with service and sales teams to enhance customer relationships and ensure a positive customer experience. Participate in projects focused on improving service processes, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Provide administrative and project support for department initiatives and special projects. Works within and promotes vision, mission, and values of BMC. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Individual who is working towards a degree in a business related or other related major in college preferred. Computer skills essential with experience in Power-Point and Excel required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and a high level of organization. EOE/Vet/Disability
