Job Description

Build financial clarity where products are made Imagine stepping onto the production floor, seeing orders flow, and knowing your analysis helps every unit ship on time and on cost. This role turns raw data into real-world decisions that sharpen performance across the plant. Your impact Establish and refine standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead to reflect how the plant truly runs Diagnose material, labor, and overhead variances and explain the story behind the numbers Safeguard inventory accuracy by monitoring receipts, transfers, and adjustments Keep the books tight by reconciling the inventory subledger to the general ledger Strengthen count accuracy through cycle counts and physical inventory participation The work Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and detailed support schedules Contribute to month-, quarter-, and year-end close readiness and execution Turn manufacturing variance analysis into clear guidance for operations Support financial statement preparation and craft concise management reports Plan, forecast, decide Help build annual budgets and rolling forecasts Track results against plan and highlight emerging trends Deliver financial analysis that informs operational decisions Systems and control mindset Own cost data within ERP systems such as IQMS, SAP, or Oracle Ensure internal controls over inventory and financial reporting operate effectively Partner across the plant Work closely with production, supply chain, and operations to validate cost drivers Lead and support process improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy Translate finance concepts into plain language for non-finance stakeholders Your background Education and experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2-5 years of accounting experience; manufacturing environment preferred Practical experience in cost or inventory accounting strongly preferred Technical strengths ERP experience (IQMS, SAP, Oracle, or similar) Excel power user (pivot tables, lookups, analytical modeling) Working knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting practices How you work Curious, analytical, and solutions-oriented Detail-driven and reliable under time constraints Clear communicator who collaborates effectively Preferred qualifications CPA or active progress toward certification Standard costing and variance analysis expertise Background with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement Where you'll work Office-based role with regular engagement on the production floor Expect occasional extended hours during close or audits How success shows up On-time, accurate reporting and reconciliations Actionable variance insights that guide operations High inventory accuracy and tight subledger-to-GL alignment Process improvements that reduce cost and boost efficiency
