Finance Coordinator Habitat for Humanity of Collin County McKinney, TX Job Details Full-time $45,000 - $50,000 a year 1 hour ago Benefits Health savings account Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Family leave Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Expense management Finance Driver's License Attention to detail QuickBooks Accounting and finance experience Time management Full Job Description Finance Coordinator Job Overview Habitat for Humanity of Collin County is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Finance Coordinator to support the organization's daily financial operations and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Responsibilities Process and maintain accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Enter, maintain, and reconcile financial information in QuickBooks . Prepare and record deposits, including donations, grants, homeowner payments, and other revenue. Process vendor invoices, payments, employee reimbursements, and credit card transactions. Perform monthly bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations . Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing procedures. Assist with preparation of financial statements, management reports, and reports for the Finance Committee and Board of Directors . Monitor expenses and assist with budget tracking and variance reporting. Maintain accurate records for restricted and unrestricted funds and assist with grant-related financial reporting. Assist with tracking construction and homeownership-related expenses and maintaining supporting documentation. Assist with annual audit preparation and provide financial records and documentation as requested. Maintain organized financial files and ensure transactions have appropriate supporting documentation and approvals. Work closely with the Finance Director and other departments, including Construction, Homeownership, Development, and Administration. Maintain confidentiality of financial, donor, homeowner, employee, and other sensitive information. Assist with other accounting, financial, and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of accounting or finance experience , preferably in a nonprofit or similar organizational environment. Familiarity and working experience with QuickBooks is required. Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices. Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel . Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team. Ability to identify discrepancies, research financial information, and resolve issues in a timely manner. Work Environment & Travel Primarily an in-office role based in McKinney, Texas, with some flexibility. Occasional local travel for banking, deposits, vendor locations or organizational events across Collin County. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
