Introduction

Chevron Phillips Chemical is seeking a Specialist - Business Analytics - to join the Business Data Analytics organization supporting the Commercial function. The role will partner with Commercial stakeholders to build scalable reporting and analytics solutions, improve operational visibility, streamline processes, and advance data-driven decision-making and digital transformation.



Responsibilities Provide subject matter expertise for Commercial reporting systems and analytics tools, including Power BI, SAP HANA, Planful, SQL Server, and related platforms.

Partner with Commercial teams to define business requirements, data sources, business rules, metrics, and reporting priorities.

Develop and maintain dashboards, KPI scorecards, semantic models, data models, and self-service analytics solutions.

Standardized and optimize Commercial reporting and analysis across product lines.

Identify opportunities to automate activities, streamline processes, and improve data quality and governance.

Integrate SAP and non-SAP data with support from IT, Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, and third-party partners.

Lead continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives and promote reusable best practices.

Communicate insights and recommendations through clear visualizations and leadership-level presentations.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business Analytics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.

Experience with SAP ERP data, Commercial business processes, and enterprise reporting or visualization tools.

Advanced Power BI skills, including data modeling, DAX, dashboard development, and report design.

Strong SQL skills and experience with data extraction, transformation, loading, and visualization.

Ability to translate business needs into scalable analytical and reporting solutions.

Strong analytical, communication, presentation, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications Experience with

SAP HANA

data modeling, views, and analytics development.

Experience with Alteryx, Azure, Databricks, APIs, or cloud-based data platforms.

Knowledge of Commercial processes, CPChem products, markets, and operations.

Experience with financial, economic, pricing, margin, customer, or market analysis.

Experience in the petrochemical, chemical, manufacturing, or industrial sector.

IT or technical project management experience.
