Job Description

Position Overview Nordic Group of Companies is seeking a highly analytical and detail-driven Internal Audit & Financial Consolidation Analyst to support enterprise-wide financial reporting, performance analysis, and internal controls across multiple entities. This role blends financial consolidation, internal audit, and business analytics , with a strong emphasis on building and enhancing key business metrics that drive decision-making. The ideal candidate will not only ensure the integrity of financial reporting but also translate data into meaningful insights for leadership. This position works closely with executive leadership and reports directly to the CFO. A forward-thinking mindset, including familiarity with AI tools and data automation , is highly valued. Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Consolidation & Reporting Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidations across multiple entities Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow Perform and review intercompany reconciliations and eliminations Ensure compliance with GAAP and/or IFRS standards Continuously improve consolidation processes, controls, and documentation Partner with subsidiary accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting Financial Analysis & Business Metrics Develop, maintain, and enhance key performance indicators (KPIs) across business units Analyze financial results, trends, and variances to identify risks and opportunities Present financial insights to leadership, with the ability to drill into underlying drivers Support strategic decision-making through data-driven analysis Build dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI or similar platforms Internal Audit & Controls Plan and execute internal audits across financial and operational areas Evaluate internal controls and recommend improvements Conduct risk assessments and monitor mitigation efforts Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements Prepare audit findings and communicate results to management Data Analytics, Automation & AI Leverage data analytics tools to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency Identify opportunities to automate manual processes Integrate data from ERP and other systems for enhanced reporting Utilize and help implement AI tools to improve analysis and workflow Educate team members on practical applications of AI in finance and reporting Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) 2+ years of experience in financial reporting, consolidations, audit, or financial analysis Experience with multi-entity environments and intercompany transactions Strong understanding of GAAP and/or IFRS Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables, data analysis) Experience with Power BI or similar analytics tools Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Experience in a multi-entity, multi-industry, or holding company structure Familiarity with financial consolidation or reporting software Background in internal audit or internal control frameworks Exposure to AI tools and automation in finance Experience presenting financial insights to executive leadership Key Competencies Financial analysis and business insight Consolidation and intercompany expertise Audit and risk assessment Data analytics and visualization Process improvement and automation mindset Clear and effective communication Why This Role Stands Out This is not a traditional accounting role.
