Description We are looking for a Financial Analyst to support fraud review operations for a contract opportunity in Wisconsin. This position focuses on evaluating online transactions, identifying suspicious activity, and helping protect revenue while maintaining a positive customer experience. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, experience with eCommerce order review, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams in a fast-paced retail environment.
Responsibilities:
- Examine high-risk and unusual transactions in real time to determine whether orders should move forward or be stopped before shipment
- Analyze purchasing trends, order velocity, and behavioral irregularities to identify potential fraudulent activity
- Partner with customer support, fulfillment, and finance teams to validate account details and investigate questionable transactions
- Make informed risk decisions that help prevent fraud while minimizing unnecessary order declines and lost sales
- Track surges in suspicious activity and escalate meaningful patterns or emerging risks to fraud leadership for further action
- Review account and payment information to identify signs of card misuse, compromised profiles, or other fraudulent behavior
- Document findings clearly and maintain accurate records of investigations, approvals, cancellations, and escalations
- Provide coverage during evening and weekend shifts to support ongoing transaction monitoring need Requirements
- Experience in fraud analysis, fraud investigation, or transaction monitoring within an eCommerce or retail setting
- Knowledge of card fraud, credit card fraud indicators, and methods used to detect potentially fraudulent orders
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret transaction behavior, order patterns, and risk signals
- Familiarity with order management processes and online payment review workflows
- Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-moving environment while balancing customer experience and risk exposure
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across operational and financial teams
