Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Licensed Surety Bondsman to join our dynamic team. Must either own your own bail bonding company or been licensed for five years as a bail agent for the state of Montana. Responsibilities Issue, renew, and manage surety bonds in accordance with Montana state licensing requirements and industry standards. Conduct thorough risk assessments and underwriting analysis to determine bond eligibility and appropriate terms. Collaborate with clients, agents, and internal teams to gather necessary documentation and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Analyze financial statements, cash flow reports, and other financial data to evaluate client risk profiles effectively. Maintain accurate records of bond transactions, ensure timely filings, and monitor bond statuses for renewal or cancellation needs. Stay informed about changes in industry regulations, financial laws, and market trends affecting surety bonding practices. Provide exceptional client communication by explaining bond terms, answering inquiries, and offering tailored bonding solutions that meet client needs. Qualifications Valid Montana state license as a Surety Bondsman or the ability to obtain one upon hire. Proven experience in commercial insurance underwriting, risk analysis, or related financial services roles. Strong knowledge of financial concepts including financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, and credit evaluation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) with the ability to perform data collection and quantitative analysis using Excel tools. Familiarity with industry-specific regulations governing surety bonds and compliance standards. Excellent negotiation skills coupled with effective client communication abilities. Background in accounting or finance is highly desirable; experience with financial modeling or forecasting is a plus.
