In this role, you will supervise and manage a team consisting of primarily Consumer Credit Examiners in the Licensed Financial Bureau within the Division of Banking. This position offers a hybridized work schedule! This full-time permanent position will be headquartered at and required to work from the Madison Hill Farms State Office Building at 4822 Madison Yards Way Madison, WI at least 2 days per week . All employees working a hybrid work schedule are generally expected to telework from within the State of Wisconsin. This topic will be discussed more at the time of the interview. Position Summary As the Financial Examiner Supervisor, this position supervises and leads a team of consumer credit examiners, including managing and directing staff activities , coordinating training and development of staff, monitoring performance , and managing examining and complaint processes. As the supervisor, this position must employ excellent team building and leadership skills . The Financial Examiner Supervisor oversees the examination, license application, renewal and complaint processes for the regulation of mortgage bankers, mortgage brokers, mortgage loan originators, money transmitters, collection agencies and adjustment service companies. This position acts as a technical expert with complex examinations, licensing applications, cybersecurity, and complaints, and recommends and prepares administrative action. As an expert and resource for the consumer credit examiners, this position reviews completed examination reports prepared by staff. This position also assists in the development of policy and acts as an industry liaison . Salary Information This position is in schedule-range (81-02) with an annual salary of $87,360 - $102,856 (or $42 - $49.45 per hour), plus excellent benefits . A 2-year career executive trial period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan. This classification is eligible to receive up to a total of four sequential $1.50 per hour add-ons once criteria of each level are met. Job Details This position requires the ability to travel independently on an occasional basis for examinations, training, conferences, and staff meetings.
