Job Description
Overview We are a growing construction company looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented person to manage our growing financial data and job cost tracking. This role is responsible for payables, job costing, payroll, and reporting. Keeping our books accurate, tracking costs per home, and making sure what we order stays on budget. This is a hands-on position with real responsibility, not just data entry. We are looking for someone who wants to be a key person in helping to take the companies to the next level of building over 100 homes per year. Responsibilities Enter daily bank transactions and vendor/subcontractor bills with high accuracy Build and maintain job budgets in the system based on actual expected costs Track and compare budget vs actual spending per home Match purchase orders, deliveries, and invoices to job budgets Identify overages, discrepancies, and cost issues early Place organized orders and inventory management Assist in finding cost savings on materials and purchasing decisions Handle basic month-end entries and keep financial records clean and up to date Maintain organized records for vehicles, equipment, and company assets What We're Looking For Extremely detail-oriented and organized Self-managed, does not need constant follow-up Comfortable working with numbers, systems, and spreadsheets Takes ownership and follows through Interested in using AI and technology to improve efficiency, accuracy, and workflows to help us operate better than other companies Able to spot problems and inconsistencies QuickBooks Online experience preferred What Success Looks Like in 90 Days Books are accurate and fully up to date, with timely month-end closing Able to produce a clear and accurate estimated vs. actual report for any home Budgets in the system match real-world purchasing and expected costs Orders, invoices, and deliveries are aligned with budgets and discrepancies are flagged early Financial and operational records are organized and easy to follow You will not need to be managed day-to-day - success in this role means owning your responsibilities and keeping everything current without being asked.
Pay:
$16.00 - $22.00 per hourBenefits:
