Accounting Manager Cala Sourcing Solutions LLC Phoenix, AZ Job Details Full-time | Contract $40 - $45 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Accounting systems Budget management Financial data reconciliation ERP systems Managing budgets in a finance role Bachelor's degree Accounting and finance experience Internal financial audits Payroll processing Full Job Description Senior Accountant / Accounting Supervisor Position Overview We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to oversee complex financial operations, payroll reconciliation, fund management, reporting, and daily accounting activities. This role will lead and support the accounting team while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing across multiple financial systems and funding sources. The ideal candidate will have strong government or public sector accounting experience, leadership capabilities, and hands-on knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, audits, and accounting system management. Primary Responsibilities Review, approve, and oversee accounting transactions processed within AZ360 Review ACH transactions and ensure timely and accurate processing Reconcile AZ360 funds against Cash Flow Worksheets within established monthly deadlines Download and maintain monthly
ASAP/AZ360
reporting documentation for reconciliation purposes Review General Fund Status reports and monitor financial activity Oversee and approve LGTS reconciliations completed by accounting staff Manage the drawing, tracking, coding, and payment processing for ADEQ and payroll-related transactions Perform payroll reconciliations and ensure accurate coding allocations across departments Coordinate payroll reporting updates and communicate required changes to leadership Manage employee travel claims and reimbursement processing Support annual budget preparation and financial planning activities Provide funding codes for requisitions and financial transactions Maintain and manage the organization's Chart of Accounts structure and naming conventions Supervise, mentor, and train accounting staff and new team members Support implementation of new accounting sub-systems and process improvements Assist with the development of long-term accounting procedures and operational controls Prepare MBE/WBE reports and support internal and external audit requests Prepare and manage disbursement claims for grant-related and augmentation funds Track and monitor interest payments from the State Treasurer's Office and maintain accurate records Complete internal audits, corrective actions, expense reporting adjustments, and federal financial reporting requirements Coordinate arbitration-related payment processing and purchase order management Required Qualifications (MUST HAVE) Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Strong accounting and financial reconciliation experience Previous management or team leadership experience Experience reviewing and approving financial transactions Payroll processing and payroll reconciliation experience Experience with budgeting, audits, and financial reporting Advanced knowledge of accounting systems and ERP platforms Strong Excel and reporting skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent organizational and communication skills Preferred Qualifications (NICE TO HAVE) Government, municipality, or public sector accounting experience Experience with federal financial reporting (FFRs) Knowledge of grant accounting and fund management Experience with accounting system implementations or process improvement initiatives Familiarity with:
