DOE $120,000- $140,000 Role Purpose / Summary The Global Accounting Manager oversees global accounting, reporting, and compliance activities across the organization. This role coordinates recurring corporate close and reporting requirements, consolidation and corporate accounting, and manages significant audit, tax, insurance, intercompany, and process-improvement workstreams. The Global Accounting Manager partners with regional finance teams, senior leadership, external advisors, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver timely, accurate financial information, and supervises assigned team member(s) while helping strengthen the consistency, scalability, and effectiveness of global finance processes. Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee assigned components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate close, including consolidation support, corporate entries, account reconciliations, validation procedures, close communications, and resolution of cross-regional accounting issues. Review consolidated financial results and investigate significant revenue, direct margin, operating expense, balance-sheet, intercompany, and out-of-period movements; coordinate with regional finance, FP&A, and operations teams to obtain clear, supportable explanations and required corrections. Support the preparation, review, and quality control of recurring executive, Board of Directors, shareholder, lender, and other management reporting, including financial analyses, commentary, supporting schedules, and consistency checks across reporting materials. Serve as a key corporate finance contact for regional accounting teams, providing guidance on group reporting requirements, accounting treatments, close deadlines, data quality, and resolution of issues affecting consolidated results. Coordinate external audit support across relevant entities, including request management, preparation and review of supporting schedules, status tracking, issue resolution, and communication with internal teams and external auditors. Provide tax compliance support, including tax provision and return support, information requests, transfer pricing documentation, intercompany reporting, tax audits, and collaboration with external tax advisors. Oversee recurring intercompany accounting activities, including reconciliations, eliminations, management fee calculations, transfer-pricing adjustments, intercompany loan compliance, and resolution of differences among local, corporate, and consolidated records. Manage key aspects of the global insurance program, including renewals, exposure-data collection, coverage summaries, broker and carrier coordination, policy placement, invoicing and payment follow-up, claims support, audit requests, and maintenance of renewal documentation. Develop, maintain, and improve global accounting policies, procedures, controls, and process documentation to promote consistent application, compliance, audit readiness, and operational continuity across regions. Identify and lead process-improvement and automation initiatives, including the use of Excel, Power Query, workflow tools, AI, and other technology to reduce manual effort, improve controls, and increase the timeliness and reliability of financial reporting. Supervise assigned team member(s), including setting priorities, reviewing work, providing technical and project guidance, supporting professional development, and ensuring recurring responsibilities and project deliverables are completed accurately and on time. Perform other accounting, budgeting, reporting, compliance, and finance projects as assigned based on organizational priorities. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred. Minimum 6 years of progressive accounting, audit, consolidation, or financial-reporting experience, including experience in a multinational or multi-entity environment; prior supervisory or review experience preferred. Strong knowledge of financial close, consolidation, management reporting, account reconciliations, intercompany accounting, internal controls, and audit support. Experience coordinating with external auditors, tax advisors, brokers, consultants, or other professional-service providers. Demonstrated ability to manage recurring deadlines and cross-functional projects while maintaining accuracy, documentation, and appropriate follow-through. Advanced Excel skills required; experience with Power Query, Power BI, workflow automation, or comparable reporting and process-improvement tools strongly preferred. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Navision, or another multi-entity ERP system preferred. Strong analytical judgment and the ability to identify root causes, evaluate accounting and process implications, and communicate practical recommendations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex accounting matters into clear explanations for senior leadership and non-accounting stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated effectiveness working across countries, functions, cultures, and time zones.
