Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Office Job Description Position Summary The Senior Finance Manager, North America Commercial Finance will serve as a strategic finance partner to the North America Commercial Leadership Team within the Genetic Sciences Division. This role will provide financial leadership, business insight, and decision support to help drive revenue growth, improve commercial execution, and optimize business performance. The successful candidate will combine strong commercial acumen with core FP&A expertise, partnering closely with Commercial, Marketing, Business Unit, and Finance leaders to shape go-to-market strategy, identify areas of opportunity and risk, and translate business performance into actionable recommendations. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary finance partner to the North America Commercial Leadership Team, providing strategic financial guidance and decision support. Partner with commercial leadership on go-to-market strategy, including customer segmentation, sales coverage, pricing, channel, portfolio, and resource allocation decisions. Develop a deep understanding of market, customer, and business dynamics to proactively identify growth opportunities, emerging risks, and actions to improve performance. Lead forecasting, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and long-range planning for the North America Commercial organization. Lead monthly and quarterly business performance reviews, providing clear insights into revenue, operating expenses, key business drivers, and performance versus plan. Maintain a forward-looking view of risks and opportunities and partner with business leaders to develop appropriate actions and mitigation plans. Develop financial models, business cases, and scenario analyses to evaluate commercial investments and strategic initiatives. Translate complex financial and commercial data into concise, actionable recommendations for senior leadership. Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting, forecasting, analytics, and planning processes, including opportunities for simplification and automation. Promote strong financial discipline, accountability, and compliance with company policies and controls. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field Progressive experience in Finance, FP&A, Commercial Finance, or a related field, with demonstrated experience supporting senior business leaders. Strong understanding of financial and commercial performance drivers, including revenue growth, pricing, volume, mix, margin, operating expenses, and return on investment. Demonstrated experience leading forecasting, annual planning, financial reporting, and business performance reviews. Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into clear business insights. Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively partner across functions and levels within a matrixed organization. Ability to balance strategic thinking with strong execution, attention to detail, and a high degree of ownership. Experience within life sciences, biotechnology, diagnostics, healthcare, or a similarly complex commercial environment preferred. Leadership Profile The ideal candidate is a commercially minded finance leader who is proactive, intellectually curious, and comfortable operating as both a strategic advisor and a hands-on finance leader. They will anticipate business needs, constructively challenge assumptions, communicate clearly with senior leaders, and bring a strong bias toward action and continuous improvement. Compensation and Benefits The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $151,650.00 - $170,000.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
