Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Lock Desk Specialist to join our dynamic mortgage operations team. In this vital role, you will oversee the management of loan lock commitments, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal policies. Your expertise will help facilitate smooth loan processing, minimize risk, and support our commitment to delivering exceptional mortgage services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced financial services environment, contributing to the success of our lending operations and maintaining high standards of compliance and client satisfaction. Responsibilities Manage and monitor loan lock commitments, ensuring timely execution and accuracy throughout the loan lifecycle Coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, and processors to confirm lock parameters align with borrower needs and regulatory requirements Ensure adherence to TRID (TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure) regulations and other federal or state lending guidelines such as FNMA (Fannie Mae), FHA (Federal Housing Administration), and conventional loans Maintain detailed records of all lock transactions, including amendments, extensions, and cancellations Communicate effectively with clients, internal teams, and external partners to provide updates on lock status and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly Stay informed about industry changes related to mortgage regulations, fair housing laws, and financial compliance to ensure ongoing adherence Experience Proven experience in loan origination or mortgage processing within the financial services industry Strong knowledge of FNMA guidelines, TILA (Truth in Lending Act), TRID compliance, and mortgage servicing procedures Proficiency in using BytePro or similar loan origination systems for managing lock commitments Excellent understanding of banking regulatory compliance related to lending practices Ability to interpret complex financial data accurately using basic math skills and industry-standard calculations Effective internal communication skills for collaborating across departments and maintaining client relationships Join us in a role that combines precision with proactive service!
