A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Qualifications Sanitation Stocking Full Job Description Schedule :
Sunday- Thursday 7:30pm
- 4am This position's general responsibilities will be to perform general cleaning inside buildings, exterior grounds and walkways.
KEY COMPETENCIES
Clean and sanitize bathrooms. Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring and stairs Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms. Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas. Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary. Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture that are not cluttered. Cleaning windowsills and windows. Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner. Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition. Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times. General cleanliness of grounds Other routine basic cleaning duties as assigned Reports work accomplished orally or on written work order to supervisor daily. Follow proper timekeeping protocolKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow oral and written instruction. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to work effectively with a team. Ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort. Basic knowledge of cleaning products or willing to learn.QUALIFICATIONS
Six months or more related experiencePHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to lift objects (trash bags) up to 25 pounds Ability to lift and carry objects weighing from 15 to 25 pounds Frequent bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head Walking in throughout the building and around area with great frequency Ability to climb stairways safely and without limitation Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals), manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation) Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours- Frequent walking, standing, stooping, reaching and bending for more than 4 hours at a time Repetitive movement for up to 4 hours at a time involving the shoulder, hands, knees, hips and back (both upper and lower)
