Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Mexico Accountant, and other finance staff as assigned Position Summary We are seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the day-to-day accounting, financial reporting and planning activities of our SME North American business (approx revenue $10M). This role will own the monthly close, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning and financial analysis, while also managing the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Mexico accounting functions. The position is intended for a strong accounting and finance professional who can combine accurate financial reporting with forward-looking analysis and practical support to commercial, manufacturing and supply-chain teams. The Accounting & FP&A Manager will work closely with a Tennessee-based Senior Accountant - Controls, Compliance & FTZ, who will support internal controls, tax, systems, inventory processes, FTZ compliance and related accounting procedures. This is a hands-on management role within a growing manufacturing business and offers broad exposure to financial reporting, FP&A, working capital and operational decision-making. Key ResponsibilitiesMonth-End Close & Financial Reporting Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close process. Establish and maintain a clear close timetable and ensure deadlines are achieved. Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepayments and account reconciliations. Maintain overall ownership of the general ledger and integrity of reported financial results. Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash-flow reporting. Review financial results and investigate significant variances. Coordinate financial reporting across the US, Mexico and Chile operations. Prepare consolidated management reporting for senior management and group stakeholders. Support year-end reporting and external audit requirements. Budgeting, Forecasting & FP&A Lead the annual budgeting process. Maintain rolling financial forecasts. Prepare and update the weekly cash-flow forecast. Produce actual-versus-budget and actual-versus-forecast analysis. Forecast revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, EBITDA, working capital and cash. Work with operational and commercial teams to improve forecast quality. Identify financial risks and opportunities and communicate these clearly to management. Develop practical KPI reporting and management dashboards. Support strategic and operational planning with financial analysis. Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Management Manage and develop the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. Ensure AP and AR processes are completed accurately and on time. Review aged receivables and support escalation of overdue balances. Monitor collections performance, DSO and customer payment trends. Review AP ageing and planned cash disbursements. Ensure AP and AR are fully integrated into the monthly close process. Maintain appropriate workload allocation and performance expectations within the team. Work with the Senior Accountant - Controls, Compliance & FTZ to ensure transactional processes operate within established control procedures. Mexico & Chile Financial Oversight Directly manage the Mexico Accountant. Oversee the monthly close and financial reporting process for Mexico. Coordinate financial reporting and accounting support for Chile. Review intercompany balances and ensure timely reconciliation. Incorporate Mexico and Chile results into consolidated management reporting. Coordinate budgeting, forecasting and cash requirements for these entities. Work with the Senior Accountant - Controls, Compliance & FTZ on statutory, tax and compliance matters. Cash Flow & Working Capital Own short- and medium-term cash-flow forecasting. Monitor liquidity and identify upcoming cash requirements. Review Accounts Receivable ageing, collections and DSO. Review Accounts Payable ageing and expected payment timing. Monitor inventory investment and working-capital performance. Provide management with regular visibility of cash risks and opportunities. Support initiatives to improve the cash-conversion cycle. Commercial & Margin Analysis Provide financial support for pricing decisions. Prepare and maintain customer and product profitability analysis. Analyze gross margin by customer, product, geography and manufacturing location. Support preparation of customer quotations and pricing reviews. Analyze material, freight, conversion and other cost movements. Support evaluation of new customers, products and commercial opportunities. Provide financial analysis for make-versus-buy and sourcing decisions. Manufacturing & Supply Chain Finance Analyze manufacturing costs and operational performance. Review production, material and conversion-cost variances. Support inventory valuation and manufacturing-cost analysis. Work with operations and supply chain on productivity and cost-reduction initiatives. Analyze freight, resin, packaging, labor and other key cost drivers. Provide financial support for sourcing and supply-chain initiatives. Assist management in evaluating manufacturing-location and capacity decisions. Capital Expenditure & Business Cases Support financial evaluation of capital expenditure proposals. Prepare ROI, payback and cash-flow analysis. Incorporate approved capital expenditure into budgets and forecasts. Monitor capital expenditure against approved plans. Work with the Senior Accountant - Controls, Compliance & FTZ on capitalization and fixed-asset accounting requirements. Team Leadership Provide day-to-day leadership to AP, AR and the Mexico accounting function. Set clear deadlines and expectations for the finance team. Coach and develop team members. Improve consistency, accuracy and timeliness of finance processes. Ensure responsibilities are clearly allocated across the team. Foster effective collaboration between California, Tennessee, Mexico and Chile finance activities. Working Relationship with Senior Accountant - Controls, Compliance & FTZ The Accounting & FP&A Manager will work closely with the Tennessee-based Senior Accountant - Controls, Compliance & FTZ. The Accounting & FP&A Manager will primarily own: Month-end close Financial reporting Management accounts Budgeting Forecasting Cash-flow planning AP and AR team management Mexico accounting management Financial analysis Pricing and margin analysis Working-capital management FP&A The Senior Accountant - Controls, Compliance & FTZ will primarily focus on: Internal controls FTZ Tax and compliance support Accounting systems and processes Inventory controls AP and AR control procedures Fixed-asset controls Audit support Process documentation and improvement Both roles will report to and work closely with the President / Finance Lead. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. Approximately 3-5 years of progressive accounting and finance experience. Previous responsibility for month-end close and management reporting. Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial-analysis experience. Experience supervising accounting staff or leading a finance team. Experience managing AP and/or AR functions strongly preferred. Manufacturing, distribution or inventory-based business experience strongly preferred. Experience with multi-entity or international accounting advantageous. Strong Excel and financial-modeling skills. Experience with QuickBooks or comparable accounting software. ERP or inventory-system experience advantageous. Strong communication skills and ability to work with both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Comfortable operating in a hands-on, fast-paced and growing business environment. Desired Profile The successful candidate will combine strong accounting fundamentals with a practical commercial mindset. They should be comfortable moving between detailed accounting work, team management, forecasting and operational analysis. Compensation Candidates with particularly strong manufacturing, FP&A or team-management experience may justify compensation toward the upper end of the range.Pay:
