We are looking for an experienced Accounting Supervisor to support a construction and contractor organization in Mission Viejo, California through a long-term contract engagement. This position will lead core accounting operations, oversee accurate month-end activities, and help maintain reliable financial reporting in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, audit support experience, and the ability to guide daily general ledger and reconciliation processes.

Responsibilities:

• Direct month-end close activities to ensure financial results are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Oversee general ledger operations, including review of account activity, balances, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and approve journal entries while maintaining compliance with accounting policies and reporting standards.
• Lead account reconciliation efforts and resolve discrepancies across high-volume transactions and balance sheet accounts.
• Coordinate audit preparation by organizing schedules, responding to requests, and delivering complete PBC documentation for financial statement audits.
• Supervise accounting workflows and help maintain timely, accurate reporting for both public and private reporting environments.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to strengthen accounting processes, support issue resolution, and improve reporting consistency.
• Utilize SAP and related systems to manage accounting data, reporting, and transaction review activities.
