full-time We're seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join a growing manufacturing organization. This role owns the month-end close process, drives forecasting and budgeting efforts, and serves as a key partner to operations and plant leadership. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, production-driven environment and wants ownership over the accounting function. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all accounts Prepare and review journal entries and accruals, including payroll, freight, and operating expense accruals Own the balance sheet reconciliation process and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles in partnership with operations and finance leadership Perform variance/flux analysis on actuals vs. budget/forecast and provide clear explanations to management Partner with plant/operations teams to ensure accurate cost and inventory reporting Assist with external audit requests and maintain supporting documentation Review and improve internal controls, processes, and month-end checklists Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff Support ad hoc financial projects and analysis as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of month-end close, accruals, reconciliations, forecasting, and budgeting Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Epicor, QAD, or similar) Advanced Excel skills Strong communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally with operations, procurement, and plant leadership Supervisory or team-lead experience preferred Cost accounting experience is a plus
