The firm serves a diverse client base across the entertainment, medical, engineering, and professional services industries, with approximately 65% of its business focused on corporate clients and the remainder on individual tax work. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who wants more than a technical role. The ideal candidate will manage a client portfolio, build strong relationships, deliver exceptional service, and contribute to the firm's continued growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities. Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of corporate and individual clients Oversee accounting, tax, and financial reporting engagements Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for clients Provide high-quality, responsive customer service Review work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and bring in new business Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, supportive work environment Help mentor and support less experienced accounting staff Meet billable-hour expectations and contribute to the firm's growth objectives Qualifications Approximately 8 years of experience in public accounting or a similar small-to-midsize accounting firm Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field Active CPA license with signing authority, or currently pursuing CPA licensure Experience working with corporate clients; tax experience is highly valued Strong communication, organizational, and client relationship skills Business development mindset and willingness to contribute to new client growth Professional, personable, and confident working directly with clients Local to Pasadena or genuinely connected to the Pasadena community Big Four experience alone is not the ideal background for this role; experience in a small-to-midsize firm is preferred Why Join?
