full-time The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting strategic business decisions through financial analysis. This role manages the month-end and year-end close processes, financial statement preparation, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with GAAP. The Accounting Manager also leads and develops accounting staff while serving as a key liaison between finance leadership and operational departments. This is a 100% on-site position. Essential Responsibilities Manage all daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and cash management. Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and ensure timely and accurate reporting. Prepare and review financial statements, account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP. Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial records. Develop, monitor, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to support organizational objectives. Analyze financial results, trends, variances, and key performance indicators, providing recommendations to management. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local reporting requirements, including tax filings and audits. Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring timely completion and resolution of audit findings. Oversee cash flow management and working capital analysis. Support ERP system utilization, process improvements, system implementations, upgrades, and reporting enhancements. Develop financial models, ad hoc analyses, and management reports using advanced Excel functions and reporting tools. Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff to ensure high performance and professional growth. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities. Strong knowledge of GAAP , financial reporting, account reconciliations, and internal controls. Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, or similar platforms. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, complex formulas, and financial modeling. Proven ability to analyze financial data and present recommendations to leadership. Strong organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
