Santa Clara, CA Job Details Full-time $120,000 - $150,000 a year 5 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Financial close processing Accounts receivable management Full Job Description We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to execute and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, with a strong focus on accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), general ledger accounting, and monthly close. This individual will be expected to roll up their sleeves, handle detailed accounting work directly, and provide light oversight and support to team members as needed. The role will work closely with external customers, program managers, and operations team to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial processes. This is a full-time, in-office position ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the details while helping keep the accounting function organized and on schedule.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform day-to-day accounting functions directly, with a strong focus on A/P, A/R, and general ledger activity Own key monthly, quarterly, and year-end close tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules Serve as a liaison to customers and program managers to resolve invoicing, collections, and payment issues Provide light oversight, guidance, and review support to team members to ensure accurate and timely processing Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, general ledger transactions, and close workpapers Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures Collaborate with operations, program managers, and other departments to support financial operations, reporting, and issue resolution Maintain and enhance Excel-based tracking tools and reports Utilize ERP systems for data entry, analysis, and reporting
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of progressive, hands-on accounting experience Proven experience with A/P, A/R, and general ledger accounting Experience supporting month-end close, reconciliations, and accounting operations in a deadline-driven environment
Skills:
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and account analysis Comfortable using ERP systems for transaction processing, research, data entry, analysis, and reporting Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, in-office environment Clear communication skills with the ability to follow up professionally with customers, internal stakeholders, and team members
