Junior Controller / Accounting Manager in Training

Peed Equipment is seeking a sharp, organized, and motivated Junior Controller / Accounting Manager in Training to work directly under our senior controller and learn the financial operations of a fast-paced heavy equipment business. This is a rare opportunity for someone who wants long-term growth, hands-on mentorship, and exposure to real-world business operations including equipment accounting, job costing, payroll, AP/AR, banking, insurance, and operational reporting. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, detail-oriented, trustworthy, and willing to grow into a leadership accounting role over time. What You'll Do Work directly with ownership and senior management Train under our current controller to learn company financial systems and processes Assist with: Accounts payable & receivable, payroll processing Bank reconciliations Equipment costing and job costing Financial reporting Vendor management Insurance and compliance tracking Credit applications and lien releases Fleet and heavy equipment recordkeeping Help improve systems and organization Learn the operational side of the heavy equipment industry Qualifications Accounting, finance, or bookkeeping background preferred Heavy equipment, construction, or equipment rental industry experience is a plus Strong organizational skills High attention to detail Professional communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Comfortable learning multiple software systems Self-motivated with a positive attitude Excel and QuickBooks experience preferred (Vista, Foundation, or similar ERP experience is a plus) What We're Looking For This role is ideal for: An experienced bookkeeper wanting to grow A junior accountant ready for more responsibility Someone looking for a long-term career opportunity with mentorship A person who values loyalty, stability, and learning directly from experienced ownership Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Opportunity for long-term advancement Paid holidays and PTO Stable, family-oriented company environment Direct mentorship and hands-on training Schedule Full-time Monday-Friday In-person in Temecula, CA To Apply Please submit: Resume Short description of your accounting experience References preferred We are looking for someone who wants to build a career and become an important long-term part of our company.
