Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to lead core accounting operations in Denver, Colorado. This role is responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, guiding the close cycle, and strengthening day-to-day accounting practices across the organization. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership capability, and the ability to translate financial data into practical business insight.
Responsibilities:
- Direct the completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Produce and evaluate financial statements, confirming consistency with organizational accounting standards and reporting expectations.
- Monitor general ledger activity, validate account reconciliations, and approve journal entries to maintain the integrity of financial records.
- Lead, coach, and develop accounting team members while setting clear performance expectations and supporting growth.
- Maintain adherence to internal controls, corporate policies, and applicable regulatory requirements across accounting operations.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts by providing reliable data and thoughtful interpretation.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and implement process improvements that increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Work closely with operational leadership to deliver financial guidance, highlight trends, and support informed decision-making.
- Participate in special assignments and broader business initiatives as needed to support departmental and organizational goals. Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing month-end close processes in an accounting environment that requires accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and journal entry review.
- Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Background supervising or mentoring accounting staff and supporting team development.
- Understanding of internal controls, compliance expectations, and sound accounting procedures.
- Ability to assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for business planning purposes.
- Proficiency in identifying process improvement opportunities and enhancing accounting efficiency.
