Core Values Passion to Serve Be Your Best Bring Your Best Do the Right Thing Do What it Takes Role Overview The Director of Finance provides strategic and operational leadership for the organization's financial management, revenue cycle performance, clinical finance optimization, contract oversight, compliance, and risk management functions. This role partners closely with executive leadership, clinical operations, billing, compliance, and administrative teams to ensure financial sustainability, accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and data-informed decision-making across a growing multi-state home care organization. 5 Major Job Functions 1.
Financial Management :
Leads budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash management, variance analysis, and fiscal planning to support organizational growth and long-term financial stability. 2.
Revenue Cycle and Clinical Finance Optimization :
Oversees financial performance related to billing, reimbursement, payer processes, clinical service utilization, authorization workflows, and revenue integrity to improve collections and operational efficiency. 3.
Contract Management :
Manages financial review, negotiation support, administration, and monitoring of payer, vendor, and service agreements to ensure favorable terms, compliance, and measurable value. 4.
Policy, Compliance & Risk Management :
Develops, implements, and monitors financial policies, procedures, internal controls, audit readiness practices, and risk mitigation strategies in alignment with regulatory and organizational requirements. 5.
Strategic Management :
Serves as a strategic finance partner to senior leadership by evaluating financial trends, identifying opportunities, supporting expansion planning, and aligning financial initiatives with organizational objectives. Key Responsibilities and Duties Lead the annual budgeting process, financial forecasting, and monthly financial close activities in collaboration with leadership and department stakeholders. Prepare, review, and present financial reports, dashboards, and analyses that communicate performance, trends, risks, and opportunities. Monitor revenue cycle performance, including billing accuracy, collections, denials, authorizations, payer reimbursement, and accounts receivable trends. Partner with clinical and operations leaders to analyze staffing, utilization, service delivery costs, margins, and productivity measures. Support contract review and negotiations by evaluating financial terms, reimbursement structures, vendor pricing, service expectations, and organizational impact. Maintain strong internal controls, financial policies, documentation standards, and audit-ready processes. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, payer, and organizational requirements related to finance, billing, documentation, and reporting. Identify financial, operational, and compliance risks and recommend practical mitigation strategies. Lead, coach, and develop finance team members comprising of internal and external resources. Own and administer core finance and accounting systems, with QuickBooks Online (QBO) ensuring accurate setup, reporting, workflows, data integrity, and process improvements. Manage multi-entity accounting needs, including inter-company activity, consolidated financial reporting, and detailed entity-level reporting across a multi-state organization. Coordinate tax planning activities with the organization's CPA, including estimated quarterly payment planning and related financial analysis. Oversee treasury and banking activities, including cash management, banking relationships, debt facility coordination, and covenant compliance, as applicable. Prepare financial information and materials for board presentations, executive updates, and strategic decision-making discussions. Support M&A and diligence activities, as needed, including data room management, buyer financial requests, quality of earnings preparation, and coordination with sale advisors. Contribute to strategic planning, growth initiatives, technology improvements, and process optimization efforts across the organization. Education and Experience Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required; master's degree preferred. A minimum of seven years of progressive finance, accounting, revenue cycle, or healthcare financial management experience is required, including experience in leadership, budgeting, reporting, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration. Experience in home health, home care, healthcare services, or multi-state operations is strongly preferred. Required Qualifications Demonstrated knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and internal controls. Experience overseeing revenue cycle processes, payer reimbursement, billing operations, or healthcare financial performance. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present clear recommendations to leadership. Working knowledge of compliance, audit readiness, risk management, and policy development. Proficiency with financial systems, reporting tools, Microsoft Excel, and business productivity applications; QuickBooks Online (QBO) experience strongly preferred. Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications
CPA, CMA, CHFP, HFMA
certification, or comparable finance credential. Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field. Experience with Paycor, healthcare billing platforms, accounting systems, or business intelligence tools. Experience with multi-entity accounting, intercompany transactions, consolidated reporting, treasury management, tax coordination, board reporting, or M&A/diligence support. Prior experience supporting growth, acquisitions, new market expansion, or multi-state healthcare operations.
