They provide a collaborative, high-impact environment where financial leaders can shape strategic direction and drive site performance. Step into a leadership role where you will direct daily accounting operations, partner with site executives on tactical planning, and mentor a talented finance team. You will spearhead budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation while leveraging data systems to optimize financial performance. Here's what you'll be doing:

Directing daily accounting and finance operations, including general ledgers, tax activities, fixed assets, and financial statement preparation.

Managing the annual budgeting process, conducting variance reviews, and identifying cost-reduction opportunities.

Providing financial leadership and coaching to develop, train, and motivate the site accounting staff.

Partnering with executive leadership on tactical planning, vendor evaluations, and audit-firm selection.

Ensuring full compliance with GAAP, internal financial controls, and applicable regulatory standards.

Here's what our ideal candidate has:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.

5 to 7+ years of broad-based accounting and financial reporting experience.

At least 3 years of management or leadership experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or heavy operational environment.

Advanced knowledge of GAAP, internal financial controls, financial forecasting, and budgeting.

Proficiency with relational databases and enterprise financial systems such as SAP or OneStream.

Payroll, receipts, disbursements, and general journal management

Fixed assets and cost reporting

Preparation and analysis of annual budgets

Interpretation of state and federal accounting regulations

Knowledge of regulations related to mining operations, auditing, purchasing, and risk management

Strategic and tactical financial planning

Collaboration with site management and department leaders

Accounting systems and financial software, including SAP and/or OneStream

Microsoft Office and relational database proficiency

Complex research, data analysis, and problem-solving

Vendor evaluation and financial services management

Team leadership, supervision, training, performance evaluation, and employee motivation

Effective written and verbal communication

Occupational safety awareness and adherence to safety procedures

Mining/Manufacturing experience preferred
