full-time Accounting Manager Sarasota, Florida $85,000-$95,000 + Annual Bonus Potential An established hospitality and property management operation in Sarasota is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting and financial administration of the business. This is a hands-on role reporting to senior property leadership, with responsibility spanning accounting, payroll, budgeting, financial reporting, and select HR administration. It offers a strong level of autonomy and visibility for an accounting professional who understands the financial side of hospitality, vacation rentals, property management, or association-based operations. The underlying position includes responsibilities across AP/AR, payroll, budgeting, owner reporting, taxes, audit coordination, and administrative functions. What You Will Do Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. Process weekly payroll and maintain accurate payroll records. Complete bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end accounting activities. Prepare recurring financial and management reports. Develop annual operating and reserve budgets in partnership with property leadership. Coordinate year-end accounting activities and work directly with outside auditors. Prepare monthly financial reporting for property stakeholders. Calculate and process applicable sales and tourism-related taxes. Manage recurring property charges, assessments, and related accounting transactions. Assist with recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and annual benefit renewals. Maintain accurate financial records and appropriate internal accounting controls. Respond to authorized financial and property-related information requests from outside parties. Work closely with the General Manager and other leadership on financial planning and operational priorities. What We Are Looking For Previous accounting experience with the ability to independently manage a broad accounting workload. Background in hospitality, vacation rentals, property management, condominium/association management, or a related environment strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of AP/AR, payroll, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, budgeting, and financial reporting. Experience with property or owner accounting is highly desirable. Proficiency with QuickBooks, Paychex, and Microsoft Excel. Streamline Property Management System experience is a plus. Familiarity with Florida condominium or association accounting practices is beneficial. Comfortable handling both transactional accounting and higher-level budgeting and financial reporting. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Sound judgment and discretion when working with confidential financial, payroll, employee, and stakeholder information. Notary commission is a plus.

Compensation & Details Base Salary:

$85,000-$95,000
