Position Summary The Senior Director of Revenue Cycle provides strategic and operational leadership for all revenue cycle functions across the organization. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, this position is responsible for optimizing reimbursement, improving cash flow, reducing revenue leakage, and driving continuous improvement across revenue cycle operations. The Senior Director serves as a key business partner to Finance, Operations, Clinical Leadership, Information Technology, Compliance, and Executive Leadership to ensure revenue cycle processes support organizational growth while delivering outstanding service to patients and providers. Essential Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Develop and execute the organization's revenue cycle strategy. Establish annual department goals aligned with organizational objectives. Drive initiatives that improve reimbursement, operational efficiency, and patient financial experience. Lead revenue cycle integration activities for acquisitions and new clinic openings. Operational Oversight Provide executive oversight for: Revenue Cycle Operations Revenue Cycle Systems & Technology Front-end revenue cycle performance Billing operations Insurance verification Payment posting Accounts receivable Denial management Revenue cycle analytics and reporting Financial Performance Own departmental performance related to: Cash collections Days in Accounts Receivable Net Collection Rate Gross Collection Rate Initial Denial Rate Clean Claim Rate Bad Debt Aging Accounts Receivable Revenue cycle productivity Analyze trends and implement corrective action plans to improve financial performance. Technology & Innovation Partner with Information Technology and Revenue Cycle Systems leadership to optimize technology platforms. Champion automation and workflow improvements. Evaluate new technologies that improve efficiency and reduce administrative burden. Ensure effective utilization of practice management and revenue cycle systems. Leadership Provide leadership and coaching to Revenue Cycle leadership team. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Develop succession plans and leadership development opportunities. Build high-performing teams through coaching and performance management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with:
Finance Clinical Operations Provider Leadership Compliance Information Technology Human Resources Executive Leadership to resolve reimbursement challenges and support organizational initiatives. #
Admin Requirements:
Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or related field. Minimum 5 years of progressive Revenue Cycle leadership experience. Minimum 5 years leading leaders in a multi-site healthcare environment. Strong knowledge of physician revenue cycle operations. Experience with practice management systems, clearinghouses, and revenue cycle analytics. Demonstrated success leading operational improvement initiatives. Preferred Master's degree. Behavioral Health or outpatient specialty physician practice experience. Multi-state healthcare experience. Experience supporting acquisitions and organizational growth.
