Accounting Manager-Construction

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting Manager specializing in Construction to lead our financial operations within the construction sector. This pivotal role involves overseeing all accounting functions, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving accurate financial reporting. As an integral part of our team, you will leverage your expertise in various accounting disciplines to support project budgets, manage cash flow, and uphold regulatory standards. Your proactive approach will help streamline processes, enhance financial accuracy, and contribute to the successful delivery of construction projects. Responsibilities Prepare and analyze financial statements, job cost reports, and project performance data Maintain accurate accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and accruals Process subcontractor pay applications and ensure compliance with lien releases and billing deadlines Assist with cash flow projections, budget tracking, and financial forecasting Monitor financial activity for accuracy and compliance with company policies Collaborate cross-functionally to support project financial performance Prepare reports for bonding, audits, and banking requirements Experience Proven experience in construction industry accounting or a related field with a strong understanding of construction project financial management. Extensive knowledge of

GAAP, IFRS, SOX

compliance standards, governmental accounting practices, and non-profit accounting as applicable. Demonstrated expertise in technical accounting concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, debits & credits, and financial analysis. Hands-on experience with various accounting software including Procore, Vista Viewpoint, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or equivalent platforms. Strong background in cash management, budgeting, forecasting, regulatory reporting, and financial report writing. Familiarity with public accounting practices or working within governmental or non-profit sectors is a plus. Excellent analytical skills combined with a high level of financial acumen to interpret complex data accurately. Pay:

$75,173.86 - $100,000.00 per year
