Job Description
Fairholme Capital Management, LLC, is a registered investment advisor in the South Miami area with assets under management in excess of $2 billion. We are currently looking to add an appropriately qualified person to our trade administration team. This position offers the opportunity to work for a prestigious firm, learn from the best in the industry, and attain great experience in the financial sector. Key Responsibilities Execute trades/orders on behalf of all the Fairholme clients using Advent's Moxy. Support the Portfolio Manager in daily portfolio monitoring, including market movements, distribution of essential news, and creation of transaction and portfolio management strategies. Maintain relationships and communicate with a wide range of sell-side institutions' trading and operations departments to manage orders and resolve settlement issues. Monitor portfolio compliance and trading restrictions on an ongoing basis and assist with internal and external reporting requirements. Research, devise, and implement compliance strategies. Manage automation and improvement projects to increase efficiency of the Trading Desk. Communicate with the Investor Relations department on specific client related issues. Daily cross-functional interactions with the Accounting, Compliance, and Investor Relations departments and other operational responsibilities as required. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Ability to manage a fast-paced and demanding work environment Diligent, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills Knowledge of financial markets, investment products and services Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, primarily MS Excel Proficiency in Bloomberg systems Proficiency in VBA and/or Python coding. Proficiency with AI agents including prompt creation and automation
