Power Plus Tutoring is seeking an experienced ISEE, SSAT, SAT, and ACT Test Prep Tutor for one-on-one, in-person tutoring in South Miami. Candidates should have direct standardized test-prep experience and be able to provide both content instruction and test-taking strategies in Math, Reading/Verbal, and Writing/English . Power Plus Tutoring is seeking experienced test-prep tutors to provide one-on-one, in-person instruction to students in the South Miami area. Previous experience tutoring ISEE, SSAT, SAT, and/or ACT preparation is required. We are seeking tutors who already understand standardized and admissions test preparation and can provide targeted instruction based on each student's strengths, weaknesses, and testing goals. This position is not for candidates looking to begin test-prep tutoring for the first time . General classroom teaching, homework help, ABA/RBT, or behavioral-support experience alone does not meet the experience requirement. What You'll Do Provide one-on-one preparation for ISEE, SSAT, SAT, and/or ACT Teach the specific content and strategies required for the test(s) in which you have experience Provide instruction in Math, Reading/Verbal, Writing/English, grammar, vocabulary, and/or reading comprehension Identify academic weaknesses through diagnostic and practice-test results Teach pacing, time management, question analysis, and test-taking strategies Analyze incorrect answers and provide targeted instruction to address skill gaps Develop individualized test-preparation plans Assign and review targeted practice Monitor progress and adjust instruction as needed Communicate professionally with parents regarding student progress Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree Direct experience tutoring students for at least one of the following: ISEE, SSAT, SAT, or ACT Strong knowledge of the format, content, and strategies for the test(s) you tutor Strong command of the academic subject areas you teach Experience providing one-on-one academic instruction Ability to explain difficult concepts clearly and adapt instruction when a student is struggling Reliable after-school and/or weekend availability Ability to provide in-person tutoring in South Miami Candidates with experience preparing students for multiple exams are strongly preferred.
