full-time Accounting Manager - AP & General Accounting We are partnering with a growing, operations-focused organization seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting activities and lead a small team within a fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong foundation in general accounting, along with experience overseeing high-volume transactional accounting activities. Key Responsibilities Lead and support a small accounting team, including workload management, coaching, training, and day-to-day oversight Oversee general accounting and transactional activities, including account reconciliations, transaction review, account maintenance, and accounts payable Participate in month-end and year-end close, including reconciliations, journal entries, account review, and supporting schedules Review financial transactions and account activity to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies Prepare and review reporting related to cash flow, aging, account reconciliations, and operational performance Partner with operations and leadership to support business initiatives, financial analysis, and process improvements Support internal and external audits and ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal controls Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency, strengthen accounting processes, and enhance reporting Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 3+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, including hands-on general accounting responsibilities Experience with account reconciliations and month-end close required Previous leadership, supervisory, or team management experience preferred Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills in a high-volume environment Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Additional Information Hands-on leadership role with visibility across the organization Opportunity to influence accounting processes and support operational growth Collaborative, team-oriented culture Opportunity for professional growth and increased responsibility
