Accounting Operations Manager Location:
Marietta, GA Salary:
$110k-$130k (DOE)
Schedule:
Onsite Daily Summary:
Lead Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable operations and teams, ensuring accurate and timely payments, collections, and KPI performance. Drive process improvements, manage escalated collection matters, maintain internal controls, and partner cross-functionally to support business objectives and reduce financial risk.
What you get to do:
Lead AR/AP teams, including offshore resources, and oversee daily operations, escalations, and performance. Manage KPIs for vendor payments, customer collections, bad debt, and reserves. Oversee customer credit terms, risk assessments, bankruptcies, and order releases. Drive process improvements and implement global standards with team engagement. Provide reporting and actionable insights to department leaders. Oversee customer/vendor setup and ERP data accuracy. Ensure reconciliations, reporting, internal controls, and audit requirements are met. Manage the employee expense portal and policy compliance. Allocate team responsibilities and support hiring and staffing needs. Maintain department policies, procedures, and documentation.
What you need to succeed:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. 7-10 years of AR/AP leadership experience, preferably in a high-volume $400M+ organization. Experience in logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or sales/service environments preferred. Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, and
SUMIFS. ERP
experience required; SAP preferred. Knowledge of credit risk, credit tools, and bad debt management. Strong analytical, strategic, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence decisions, and drive cross-functional initiatives. Continuous improvement experience preferred; international finance experience is a plus.
