Description:
Saint Albert Catholic, a co-educational childcare center and high school located in Council Bluffs, Iowa, seeks a part-time Assistant Business Manager who is passionate about advancing the mission of Catholic education.
Position Purpose :
Assist with financial operations to maintain financial stability and sustainability. Summary of the
Position :
This position requires the ability to manage a set of financial accounts. Proficient in managing and creating sound internal controls, setting financial targets for the various school areas, monitoring expenditures and cash flow to ensure efficient, accurate, and smooth operations at all times.
Essential Functions :
Assist with financial operations by applying accounting principles and keeping the business manager abreast of trends and concerns. Prepare financial statements, business activity/budget reports, and forecasts; work diligently with the business manager to develop a budget and monitor expenses to keep costs within established budgets throughout the year. Monitor all financial details/transactions to ensure legal requirements are met, including tax compliance. Prepare accurate tuition statements. Assist with payroll as needed. Assist with HR duties as needed. Ability to organize and prioritize Manage multiple projects and tasks
Requirements:
Qualifications :
High school diploma required with postsecondary education preferred. 3-5 years of accounting experience. Proficiency in accounting software applications. Knowledge of computer applications for spreadsheets and word processing functions. A self-starter with the ability to plan and execute own work assignments. Excellent communication skills (written & verbal). Frequently Incurred (25-75% time on job) Ability to stand Ability to walk Ability to sit Ability to use both hands Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
