The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations of a manufacturing organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective internal controls. This role manages the monthly close process, inventory and cost accounting activities, and provides financial support while partnering with operations leadership to support business performance and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting expertise, experience managing financial processes and external audits, and the ability to perform detailed accounting activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & Reporting Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of general ledger accounts. Analyze financial results and explain variances to budget, forecasts, and prior periods. Coordinate external audits and regulatory reporting requirements. Operational Support Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and strengthen financial controls. Support capital expenditure analysis and fixed asset management. Partner with operations leadership to support business performance and continuous improvement initiatives. Compliance & Internal Controls Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting and inventory management. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulations. Develop and document accounting procedures and process improvements. Support the implementation and optimization of ERP systems and financial reporting tools. Perform other duties as assigned based on current business needs. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Manufacturing and cost accounting experience required. CPA preferred. Strong ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Familiarity with CRM and accounting systems, including Sage, Salesforce, or similar platforms. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. $105,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
