Beck Oil Company of Illinois is seeking an Accounting Manager - General Ledger & Financial Reporting to lead core accounting operations for our innovative IT and software-driven business. You will own the general ledger, oversee month-end and year-end close, and deliver accurate, timely GAAP financial statements. This role drives strong internal controls, partners with leadership on financial insights, and supports budgeting and forecasting. Responsibilities Oversee general ledger activities and ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data Manage month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations Prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements and management reports Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls and accounting policies Coordinate audits and support external auditors with required documentation Analyze financial results and provide insights to leadership for decision-making Support budgeting and forecasting processes with reliable financial data Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff to high performance standards Collaborate with IT and other departments to optimize financial systems and workflows Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, company policies, and industry standards Required Skills General ledger accounting Financial reporting (GAAP) Month-end and year-end close Account reconciliations Financial analysis Budgeting and forecasting Internal controls and compliance ERP/accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Net Suite) Advanced Excel Team leadership and staff supervision
