SUMMARY OF POSITION
Reporting to the Director of Accounting, the Accounting Manager, assigned to the Rubies entity, will lead a team responsible for the financial statements of multiple Ad Populum businesses. You will ensure the timely and accurate completion of financials and the integrity of all accounting functions. You will manage and review accruals, revenue recognition, audits, and account reconciliations in accordance with
GAAP. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Complete monthly financials, including the balance sheet and income statement, and present the results to leadership. Conduct revenue and expense analysis with comparisons and explanations for drivers of large changes or unexpected variances. Prepare and review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations. Partner closely with finance to align on actual results compared to forecasted results. Account for intercompany transactions, consolidation, and entries. Assist with year-end audit with external auditors. File sales and use tax returns. Collaborate with sales, operations, and marketing teams to review expenditures. Monitor internal control policies and procedures, refining processes and updating documentation as needed. Perform other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance required. CPA preferred. 4-5 years of relevant industry experience or 2-4 busy seasons of public accounting experience. Personnel management experience a plus. Must have experience with monthly close, reconciliations, and year-end audits. Technical accounting skillset, including an understanding of GAAP. Great attention to detail with analytical, quantitative, and communication skills. Ability to collaborate across departments and balance priorities. Skilled in Microsoft Excel. Experience working with ERP systems.
