Job Description

Position Summary The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization and providing financial leadership to support business objectives. This role ensures the accuracy of financial records, maintains compliance with applicable regulations, and leads a team responsible for financial reporting and analysis. Key Responsibilities Prepare and analyze financial information to support business planning, decision-making, and operational improvements. Develop and monitor cost analyses, profitability reporting, and financial forecasts for business operations and initiatives. Evaluate financial systems and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and enhanced reporting capabilities. Partner with leadership teams to support effective financial management and resource allocation. Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance. Coordinate the annual budgeting process, long-term business planning activities, and periodic forecasting. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Lead, develop, and support accounting team members, including hiring, training, and performance management activities. Oversee compliance with tax regulations, audits, and other statutory reporting requirements. Provide financial expertise and support for strategic projects, business initiatives, and operational decisions. Participate in cross-functional activities requiring financial analysis and recommendations. Complete additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned. Education & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required. CPA designation or equivalent professional accounting certification preferred. Experience & Skills 3-5 years of accounting leadership or supervisory experience. Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. Ability to analyze financial data and communicate insights to business leaders. Experience evaluating financial performance and identifying trends, risks, and opportunities. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt processes as needed. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments. Proficiency in accounting and financial software applications, as well as Microsoft Office tools. Commitment to staying current with accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices. Working Conditions Full-time position, typically 40 hours per week. Primarily office-based. Standard Monday-Friday schedule with flexibility to work additional hours when business needs require. Occasional domestic and/or international travel may be required.
